WASHINGTON, D.C., 03/17/2025 – Wine & Spirits Wholesalers of America (WSWA) announced today that the WSWA Educational Foundation – the charitable arm of WSWA – college scholarship program for the 2025-2026 academic year is now accepting applications. The Foundation offers two scholarships: The WSWA Educational Foundation Scholarship and the Robert Qualls Scholarship.
The WSWA Educational Foundation Scholarship provides 50, two-year scholarships, each worth $4,000 ($2,000 per year), exclusively for the children of WSWA wholesaler member employees who are attending college, community college, or trade school.
The Robert Qualls Scholarship awards four scholarships of $5,000 each to beverage alcohol suppliers, wholesalers, and retailers – and their children – who meet specific eligibility requirements. Tito’s Handmade Vodka and Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits created the Robert Qualls Scholarship Fund in memory of Robert Qualls, an extraordinary hospitality and spirits industry veteran. Eligible students for the Robert Qualls Scholarship are students pursuing a certificate/degree in the hospitality space and either: A child of a parent working for an alcohol producer, wholesaler, or retailer (on- or off-premise) or a current or former employee of an alcohol producer, wholesaler, or retailer (on- or off-premise).
WSWA wholesaler-member companies are encouraged to share this information with their HR departments to ensure employees are aware of this incredible opportunity available exclusively to WSWA-member employees. Students can apply online until May 31, 2025. More details and application links can be found at: www.wswa.org/scholarships.
Eligibility requirements vary for each program, so applicants should carefully review the details to determine which scholarship best suits their qualifications. Students who meet the criteria for both scholarships are encouraged to apply for each but must complete separate applications.
