WSWA is Offering Two Different Scholarship Programs for Students!

Applications for the 2024-2025 school year are now closed.
 

The WSWA Educational Foundation is proud to offer two different scholarship opportunities – the WSWA Educational Foundation Scholarship Program for the children of WSWA Wholesaler Members, and the Robert Qualls Scholarship open to alcohol suppliers, wholesalers, and retailers – and their children – that meet the requirements below. Eligibility requirements vary for each program, so please read below to determine which is right for you. Students that are eligible for both scholarships are welcome to apply for each program but need to complete two separate applications.

 

Which Scholarship Is Right for You?
WSWA College Scholarship Program

The WSWA Educational Foundation 2024 College Scholarship Program is excited to offer 50 2-year scholarships - each $2,000 for a total of $4,000 - exclusively to college-going dependents of Wine & Spirits Wholesalers of America (WSWA) wholesaler member employees. 

The scholarship applications for the upcoming 2024-2025 academic year are now closed.

We will announce the winners in September 2024. All applicants will be notified via the email address provided on the application. The second year of the award is dependent on the student maintaining at least a 3.0 GPA, in addition to meeting the normal eligibility requirements.

 

Eligible students for the WSWA College Scholarship Program are:

  • Children of a parent working full-time for a WSWA wholesaler member and
  • The student can be pursuing any one of the following during the 2024-2025 academic year:
    • Undergraduate college degree program
    • Associate’s degree
    • Trade school degree

 

The WSWA Educational Foundation Scholarship Program application is open. This is a separate application from the Robert Qualls Scholarship.

Robert Qualls Scholarship Fund

Tito’s Handmade Vodka and Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits created the Robert Qualls Scholarship Fund in memory of Robert Qualls, an extraordinary hospitality and spirits industry veteran. Each year, the scholarship fund will award a total of four scholarships, each $5,000, to students pursuing studies in the hospitality industry.

The scholarship applications for the upcoming 2024-2025 academic year are now closed.

Eligible students for the Robert Qualls Scholarship are students pursuing a certificate/degree in the hospitality space and either:

  • A child of a parent working for an alcohol producer, wholesaler, or retailer (on- or off-premise) or 
  • A current or former employee of an alcohol producer, wholesaler, or retailer (on- or off-premise).

 

The student can be pursuing any one of the following during the academic year:

  • A hospitality-related certificate in a year-long, full-time course, 
  • An associate's degree, 
  • An undergraduate degree, or 
  • A graduate student

 

The student can be pursuing a degree full-time or part-time, except as noted above.
